Retainership And Effective Outreaches.
Growth is something that we consistently see happening. There are 2 types of growth. Even though you bring people to church and they are not retained what do you do to keep them from going out? That's retainership. I want us to see Gods mind concerning the work we are doing.
John15:16 :Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
He has chosen us to go forth and bring fruit. It is Gods desire for our fruit to remain. Don't say that in every 12 there will be a Judas, there is only one Judas.
It is Gods intention that everyone that comes into our cell will remain. We see Gods mind from his word that we should keep Gods people. It is important we have this consciousness. All the souls we won must remain because they came to remain. When you are converted, strengthen the brethren.
√ The very first thing when it come to retainership is Prayers. Paul prayed.. as soon as Zion travails it brought forth.. men are given birth to through prayers.
We need to understand the relationship between intercessory prayers. One of the major tools of keeping anybody in your spiritual environment is prayer. You must pray even if it is 3 people you have. Prayer cannot be over emphasized.
Galatians 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,
Ephesians 1:15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
1:16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
There is the communication of the spirit and that comes by prayer.
Ephesians 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Prayer makes you love people. You pray as if your life depends on it, that's the kind of prayer that produces results. God wants us to grow, he has ordained us that our fruit should remain.
You organize prayers for retainership of new convert, first timers, existing members that stopped coming to church. It is important that you recognize that.
Once you get into Christ, anyone you win becomes your responsibility. There are many ways to pray for different situations. See exactly how to pray for people. Create a time to pray for specific people. There should be a deliberate effort.
√ What is follow up:- Follow up means visitation, calling on phones, sending emails. The most effective follow up is physical contact. The first follow up to emphasize is visitation.
Acts 15:36 And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the LORD, and see how they do.
Understanding is very important to anyone who just received salvation. The timing of follow up matters. You ought to have a standard procedures for follow up.
You must retain your members. Every member of your cell; you must have information on them within 36 hours. Everybody needs reassurance of love. Never leave your member and say this one is committed, never be casual about committed people because they are soldiers.
Bring out the best for your members when they come. People stay in places where they are seen as valuable and you have to create that impression.
√ The timing of follow up:- 36 hours is good, in church when someone comes to church you need to follow them up. These things are designed and followed. Ensure that this thing is done. Follow up helps a growing church. You can have prayer yes, but follow up is very important.
You have a responsibility, you are important and the ministry depends on you. You are called and the custodian of the gospel, you can only grow.
We are going again to harvest the seeds we have sown. Lets make a program for follow up. It is an effective way and it works. When you go for follow up make it effective by the way you communicate.
√ The place of the Word:- The very first one is foundation school. Luke 1:1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,1:2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;1:3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,1:4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.
You must bring the person to foundation school. The word that you have built in you shall stand for you in the days of trials. You must let them go through foundation school. You must ensure they go through foundation school.
Everyone that is a first timer must pass through foundation school. Don't treat it casually especially now we have the graduation. You will ensure that every first timer goes through foundation school. If you have a major outreach, you can take foundation school to that place.
There are many questions in peoples heart. Foundation school is a place people are given the opportunity to ask questions. You cannot over emphasize on foundation school. Take the person to foundation school if you want to retain them.
Foundation school will give them foundation and then the church services. People can give their life to Christ and the realm of the spirit will be esoteric to them.
The reality of spiritual realm becomes real when someone is filled with the holy spirit. The teacher has come to stay inside you and he teaches you all things.
√ Our ministry materials:-
You can back date the coming of your first timers. Our ministry materials helps, follow them up to ensure they stay. Faith, hope, love is communicated in pastors messages example: Rhapsody of realities. Ensure you follow them up. Evil communication corrupts good manners.
√ Effective outreaches:- Get them involved in evangelism. We are going to pray, we are going to be effective, we will retain people...The tools for cell leaders is available today and what it will produce will be great.
Text: Hebrew 6:10, 1 Corinthians 15:15. The lord will reward all your effort.
Hebrew 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
The glory of the later house shall be greater than the former.
Pastor had thought me that i have no room to fail. Am a product of the cell ministry. The message of our man of God works.
