Ushered in by a wonderful session of praise and worship to God, Pastor Chris arrivedj at last night's session of the Easter Youth Camp with an extraordinary unction. Emphasizing the importance of the Word, the man of God said, “God has only one material for building you, for blessing you and for answering your prayers, and that is the Word.”
He went on to teach them the difference between the creation of man and the forming of man. He pointed out that every living thing can only feed on its origin. “Animals came from the dust, and they live on things that grow from the earth. Your spirit came from God’s Word; it can only survive and live on God’s Word. Most people don’t understand this and as such, they can never be truly satisfied,” he expounded.
He introduced to the youth 3 important keys for a successful Christian life. “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit; if you have these 3, it doesn’t matter where they put you, what comes against you, or what you face, you’ll come out victorious,” he said.
The session ended with an enlightening question-and-answer segment where Pastor Chris answered questions from some of the delegates. He specially recognized 3 campers (Alyssa, Medina and Peter) whose birthdays were yesterday and invited Rev. Tom Amenkhienan to pray for them.
As the man of God proclaimed blessings over the youths, the camp meeting came to a close and the youth left to ponder on what they had received.
